The city of San Francisco has been labeled as a modern day business success story with the Technology sector boasting one of the most profitable markets to date. However, beneath the glamour of a flourishing industry is a city struggling with a complex and often crippling set of social issues.
While this may not be the first time San Francisco has experienced this type of economic transformation, it creates a notable contrast to the growing number of mentally ill and homeless lining the streets.
The following photographs were taken during 2015/16 in and amongst the city and surrounding areas.
